1. Get a fluffy robe.
I’ve become a robe devotee over the past few years, but there is nothing like a massive fluffy robe for winter. They come in all lengths, styles, and price-points…you can even pick one up on your next Target or Forever 21 run. If you’ve had a rough day or just want to indulge, pop that baby in the dryer for a little and get it extra warm and cozy before you put it on. Bliss, guys. Take it from me–I have a cozy robe, sexy robe, and a pretty robe…it’s completely excessive, but it makes me feel happy and glam.
2. Use the power of scent to your advantage.
You’re probably already aware that scent is the strongest sense tied to memory, but it’s good for other stuff, too! So, try lighting your favorite candle or diffusing an essential oil. It will improve your mood and make you feel calm. If you’re looking to wake up, try citrus! If you need to focus, go for mint. Lavender is excellent for winding down. Scent also a super-simple way to make your living space feel cozy and seasonal…pine needles or gingerbread, anyone?!
