Another week, another want! I came across this little item in a random email from the people behind Wanderlust Festival, and I was pretty much immediately interested. Like, wildly interested. So interested, in fact, that I’m writing this very post about it. The obsession is real. What IS it? Food Matters TV–AKA “Netflix for health”. NEED.

FMTV is a subscription service that provides access to 600 streaming films with an ever-expanding catalog of health content, specifically health documentaries. There are titles that you’ve already heard of, like Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead and Food Matters, but FMTV’s curators have also secured indie health films and the best documentaries from all over the world. Bomb, right? Topics span all areas of health and wellness: food, nutrition, detox, weight loss, and mind-body subjects are all included. There’s also coverage on depression, anxiety, and disease. Super holistic.

It’s not just feature-length films, though! FMTV has also created a collection of “segments”–their bite-sized video content featuring cooking and recipe preparation from top chefs, and 10-minute workout sessions that target not only specific populations {i.e. pregnant women, beginning exercisers, or yogis}, but also individual needs and interests. There are options for everyone! I’m particularly enamored with this part of the subscription since I always find myself wishing that actual Netflix offered streaming workouts. So useful. The segments are rounded out with exclusive behind-the-scenes interviews with renowned health experts…There’s even an opportunity to connect with them as a FMTV subscription provides VIP access to their live events and calls! And it’s all available everywhere you can stream–your phone, iPad, computer, or TV. Loves it. The whole thing is really a dream come true for information-obsessed documentary junkies…AKA me. Thankfully, FMTV and Wanderlust are currently offering a free 30-day trial of the service so I can get my fix. Want in? You can find out more about FMTV and sign up for the trial HERE.

Are you into the idea of FMTV? Would you subscribe to something like this?!

xx,

Liza
