Just a quick post today–I found this photo while scrolling through my Tumblr dash and wanted to share! You know the heath and fitness community likes to say “it’s not a diet, it’s a lifestyle? For wellness seekers, this is totally true. This chart breaks down the key differences in thinking between dieters {and the diet industry}, and those who have truly made, or are wanting to make, a lifestyle shift. As you can see above, when your way of thinking is tweaked–even in the smallest way–you shift from a mindset that is limiting to one that is empowering. It’s behavioral modification that focuses on personal responsibility, being in-tune with your body, and focusing on your own likes, dislikes, and happiness instead of focusing on a rigid, one-size-fits-all plan where the goal is to simply see the numbers on the scale decrease. Trying to lose weight or live more healthfully? Go for a lifestyle reboot – not just a diet.
