BRAKINIS bikinis: it’s love.

Remember late last summer when I shared a collab with awesome bikini brand BRAKINIS?! They’re back! The BRAKINIS team was nice enough to send me some suits for my upcoming vacation, and I wanted to share my review of my new ‘kinis here on the blog!

As you probably remember from my first post on the brand {or just otherwise know!} BRAKINIS sells super-cute neoprene bikinis for WAY less than a certain Australian brand. The quality is awesome, the styling is on-point, and their swimwear is basically identical, so it’s kind of a no-brainer if you’re a savvy shopper who wants that ultra-trendy look.

Isn’t this the cutest?!

I wanted to try out two very different styles from the suits I already own, so I chose the bustier-inspired Milly in candy pink, and the more traditional Indy suit in Lily Leopard. I ordered my usual size XS, in both tops and bottoms, for both suits. I felt that the XS bottoms of my other traditional BRAKINIS bikini fit me well, and that even though the Indy was a different style and could fit differently, it’s a side-tie suit, so I should be covered. If you’re between sizes, I’d still recommend sizing up! I’m {barely} a 32b, and I think a size S top would have fit a bit more…conservatively than the XS. I’m into it, though!

I placed my order on 12/29, and this time, opted for the least expensive international shipping option. BRAKINIS suggests that international shopping can take between 7 and 21 working days, but my order was delivered promptly on 1/8, even amidst holiday chaos! That’s exactly 7 business days. Not bad for $9.99 and a cross-continental journey! Plus, it was snowing that day. There’s something amazing and magical about trying bikinis on in a snowstorm, yes?

I’m a sucker for leopard.

So, here’s my official {second} BRAKINIS verdict: I am totally and completely in love. Actually, I think I like THESE suits even more than the first two I ordered! The neoprene is thick and comfortable, the fit is perfect, and both bikinis look expensive. I don’t do much actual swimming while on beach vacations, but I’d be comfortable rocking the Milly suit in water. The Indy, however, is definitely more of a “sit on the shore and drink frozen pineapple drinks” piece, though. 😉 I would totally recommend BRAKINIS, both for their awesome, economical swimwear and for their killer customer service. I’ve had nothing but great experiences! Want to see how they look on? Make sure to follow me on Instagram where I’ll be posting my getaway/swimsuit pics this week!
